The Allyn Family Foundation of Skaneateles began in 1954 with two donations totalling just $10,000. When William G. Allyn died in 2006, he bequeathed much of his estate, and when his business was sold, family members contributed more. By 2018, assets topped $82 million. The foundation supports many nonprofits in Central New York.
